On September 28, 2023, the Ukrainian Business Brotherhood initiated and organized Ukraine's first RedBus – a mobile blood donation center.
Our goal was to create a convenient and accessible format for blood donation, allowing medical teams to get directly to donors in any district center or town across the region.
RedBus is a vehicle that was purchased in Germany and specially equipped according to medical advice. It ensures safe on-site blood collection, accommodating two donors simultaneously, and has all the necessary equipment for storing and transporting blood to the Lviv Regional Blood Center.
Project Mission: To supply hospitals with an emergency resource, to foster a culture of donation in Ukraine, and to increase the social responsibility of citizens.
Achievements Since Launch (as of September 2025): ✔️ Over 200 trips made to regional centers and towns ✔️ 5,200 donors donated blood directly on site ✔️ A total of 2,100 liters of donated blood were collected, playing a vital role in saving the wounded and the sick ✔️ Conditions created for simultaneous reception of two donors with full medical support ✔️ Awareness and a culture of donation promoted among local communities ✔️ Project Scaling: fundraising is in progress to equip the next RedBus for other regions of Ukraine
Currently, a minimum of 9 cities in Ukraine are in need of a similar vehicle. Ukrainian Business Brotherhood is not stopping and is working to provide all centers with this type of transport.
As of October 2025, in cooperation with partners and international donors, we managed to organize another vehicle, which we equipped and sent for operation in the city of Khmelnytskyi.
